Mr. Idi Masoud is co-Founder Member and Chair Advisory Board MUSPPA2STEM. He is the Assistant Director – Enablers and Macro Directorate of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat and a long-standing strategic management professional with a progressive management career in the banking industry. He has been part of the lead team for the development of the Medium Term Plan 2 & 3. He holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree (Economics and Sociology) and currently pursuing a PhD (Business Innovation and Technology Management) at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Mr. Masoud is a student member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and also an Associate of the Kenya Institute of Bankers (AKIB). He has been instrumental in linking the STEM Model Schools to the Vision 2030 players i.e. manufacturers, planners etc.

Dr. Purity Kiura, is Vice Chair and Advisory Board Member for MUSPPA2STEM is currently serving as the Director of Antiquities, Sites and Monuments at the National Museums of Kenya (NMK) as well as holds the position of a Senior Research Scientist in the Archaeology Section in the same institution. She is a trained geologist having undertaken her undergraduate studies in Geology at the University of Nairobi (1997).  She completed her Master of Arts (2003) and Doctorate (2006) degrees in Anthropology at Rutgers University, New Jersey. Dr. Purity sits in several Boards among them L’Ecole du Patrimoine Africain (EPA), Porto Novo, Benin, Rwambiti Secondary School, Information for the Shanghai Archaeology Forum. Conservations and Management of Archaeological Heritage Worldwide, Gichugu Kirinyaga, Ileret Education Fund and served as key resource person, Heritage Conservation under Major Developments In Kenya among others. She is the driver of the establishment of STEM Museum Hubs in Kenya and the recently launched STEM Festivals. Her resource mobilizations skills are unmatched and have been on the forefront in advocating for the establishment the museums as a resource for research and education.

Hon. Stephen Njoroge HSC, Board Member is the Chief Executive Council Member for Nyandarua County is Founder and Board Member, MUSPPA2STEM. He is an experienced Kenyan educator with a wealth of experience in pedagogy, transformative leadership and managerial skills with national and international accolades. Formerly, he was the Director, the Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA), Executive Secretary for Strengthening Mathematics and Science Education in Africa (SMASE-Africa) and led the Association of Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) Inter-Quality Node for Mathematics and Science, and Peace Education. With 35 years+ teaching experience and has been principal of High school at the Sub-County to the National Level, Hon Njoroge brings a well of experience in MUSPPA2STEM. Hon. Njoroge, holds a Masters of Education (Administration & Planning), Executive Masters in Education Management from University of Nairobi and currently pursuing Doctorate in Education Leadership & Management. He is a very strong advocate of Inviting School Climate and while at CEMASTEA he is credited with introducing the STEM Model School Program and the First Local National Robotic Competition. Without his support MUSPPA2STEM would not have existed.

Mr. Alfred Indimuli Kahi OGW, Board Member is the current President of the African Confederation of principals, the National Chairman of Kenya Secondary Schools’ Heads Association (KESSHA). Mr. Indimuli is a Chief Principal, Machakos Boys’ High School, Author, Global Peace Ambassador and council member of the International Confederation of Principals with 34 years teaching experience inclusive of 25 years as a School Principal. He    holds    a    Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor’s Degree in   Education (B.Ed.) from Kenyatta University. Mr. Indimuli is recipient of the Presidential Award –the Order of Grand Warrior (OGW). He is a board member of several educational institutions among them Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI), Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). He is also a member of the national steering committee on the Competency Based Curriculum and the Chairman Vihiga United and Vihiga Queens Football Clubs. He has been instrumental in providing advice to MUSPPA2STEM.

Mr. Stephen Yida Ajanga currently serves as the TSC County Director,Mombasa. He is a an MBA holder, who has also pursued a Senior Strategic Management Course. He has also had the privilege of serving as the Senior Principal in Various High Schools across the country.

Dr. Tom Mboya Okaya is the co-Founder and the Secretary Advisory Board MUSPPA2STEM. He is an expert in STEM Education with more than 25 years’ experience in education as a classroom teacher, administrator, pedagogic advisor, university lecturer, author, and now as Sub-County Director of Education for Teachers ‘Service Commission (TSC). He holds a Bachelors of Education (Scie) from Egerton University, Masters of Education (Research & Evaluation) from CUEA, Kenya, and PhD (Education) from ACU, Melbourne Australia. He has several certificates among them Certificate for the Practice of Science and Mathematics Education from Hiroshima University, Japan, Certificate in STEM Education from Ofri Aharon Institute, Jerusalem, Israel, Certificate in Project Monitoring & Evaluation from MS-TCDC, Arusha Tanzania. He is a member of International Alliance for Invitation Education (IAIE) and recipient of the 2015 Outstanding Dissertation Award by IAIE during the 33rd World Conference on Invitational Education held in Long Island, New York, USA. He was the first STEM Coordinator, at CEMASTEA where he spearheaded the selection and transformation of the 102 STEM Model Schools, introduced robotics science, makerspace concepts, Chief STEM officers (CSO) program, STEM Museum Hubs, and the first local national robotics competitions in Kenya. As the MUSPPA2STEM convener he is focused on building synergy for implementation of STEM at the basic level of education.

Mr. Kennedy Ndula Mbayah is a member of the Advisory Board, MUSPPA2STEM and oversees Finance and Accounts. Ken is a Senior Corporate Relationship Manager, Kenya Commercial Bank with 31 years working experience in various departments in Bank both in Kenya and in South Sudan. He holds Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration from United States International University (USIU) and Masters in Business Administration (Strategic Management) from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He has attended several courses both international and locally conducted.  Through his support, KCB funded Children Science Day at CEMASTEA in 2018. The activity was a joint venture between MUSPPA partners. He has been very strong in providing financial and strategic advice to MUSPPA2STEM and resource mobilization

Dr. Winifred Nduku Mutuku, is an Advisory Board Member for MUSPPA2STEM in Charge of Research and Development. She is senior lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Acturial Sciences at Kenyatta University, Kenya. She is a trained Mathematics & IT teacher with more than two decades’ experience in classroom and strong advocate for Girls’ in STEM. Winifred has a Bachelors’ Degree in Education, Master of Science in MHD fluid dynamics and PhD in Nano fluid dynamic from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa. She is very passionate about development of National STEM indicators for Kenya. She is also the Patron STEM Club, Kenyatta University, Member of organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World, member of Strategic Information Technical Working Group and Chairperson, Masii Girls High School-a National School in Kenya.
